Greenland Group started its journey as Greenland Overseas in 1983 with a far reaching vision and goal of creating job opportunities for Bangladeshi citizens in the global job market. Today Greenland Group has grown into a multi-dimensional group of companies, while retaining its main focus in the manpower sector of the country. Facing the challenges of producing trained and skilled labor, the management of Greenland Group felt the need to create a backward integration in the form of skill development training before deploying employees abroad. As a result, Greenland Academic Complex (GAC) was founded in 2004, which is one of the finest skill training centers of the country with three institutions, namely, Greenland Training Centre Ltd., Greenland Technical Institute and Greenland Polytechnic Institute operating in close cooperation with each other under the umbrella of GAC.
